Over 12 months at one sample per week, on a single 8 Ah rechargeable LiPo. The sampling interval is user-defined from 1 to 65,000 hours, so the deployment window scales with how often you sample.
Four: timed, delayed start, continuous flow-proportional, and external trigger. Water is drawn either by gravity (no pump, no mechanical contamination risk) or by peristaltic pump where hydraulic head is insufficient. External mode responds passively to a 12 V pulse from a third-party datalogger.

SYP hosts its own Wi-Fi access point. Connect from a phone or laptop, configure the run, and export the full sample log as CSV through the browser interface. Onboard sensors also log temperature, humidity, and air pressure alongside each sample.
The electronics are rated −10 °C to +50 °C, in a water-resistant acrylic case with stainless fasteners, a waterproof stepper motor, and a conformal-coated PCB. Note that vials and tubing may burst if frozen while full of water, so sub-zero sites need planning.
